Internship gives the glimpse of the practical world to the students. During the phase of gathering theoretical knowledge from the Institute, Internship at ZUARI INVESTMENTS LIMITED, is giving me a glimpse of the world of FINANCE.
Before sharing my experience about my first day I would like to thank JAIPURIA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, GHAZIABAD for providing me internship at such a renowned organization.
ZUARI INVESTMENT LIMITED is the part of 3rd largest group ADVENTZ. Its head office is in KAILASH COLONY where we were supposed to report at 9:30am sharp. My first day at internship was full of excitement. I and my other colleagues at Zuari Investment Limited were extended a warm welcome by the HR, MS. SHRUTI SHARMA. She collected the necessary documents like our training letter, college ID, photographs and completed the necessary formalities.
She then directed us to our mentor MR KUNAL PANDEY- AREA MANAGER who is also very friendly and kind hearted. His main philosophy of working is “WORK WHEN IT IS TIME TO WORK AND HAVE FUN WHEN IT IS TIME TO HAVE FUN”. He never compromises with work.
We were directed to conference hall where we were given an overview of the organization. There were three more interns pursuing internship with us from different colleges. We introduced ourselves to our mentor. We were taught about the products of the company and each product is taken specifically to give us the hands on experience. On daily basis we are assigned tasks related to different financial products like mutual funds, equity, debt instruments, commodity trading, derivatives, etc and are given a practical knowledge that is must for building a career in such a challenging field like FINANCE.
Before you can become a millionaire, you must learn to think like one. You must learn how to motivate yourself to counter the fear with courage. Career in Finance is very challenging. Making critical decisions about your career, business, investments and other things conjures up fear, fear that is the part of the process of becoming a financial success.
