On April 26, 2025, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, in association with the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), conducted Day 6 of IP UTSAV 2025 under the inspiring theme “Patent to Product – सृजनता से समृद्धि (Creativity to Prosperity).” The session was held at the JIM classrooms and focused on translating patented innovations into impactful commercial products.
Objective: The primary goals of this session were:
- To understand the journey from patent filing to market-ready product development.
- To explore the ecosystem enablers—including incubators, funding mechanisms, and policy initiatives—that support innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
- To motivate participants by showcasing real-world success stories of IP-led ventures that achieved economic and societal impact.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Dara Ajay

- Expert in IP strategy, technology transfer, partner identification, and patent analytics
- Developer of the “IPAT” digital patent analytics tool
Dr. Ajay presented a detailed roadmap outlining the entire lifecycle of an innovation—from patent filing and IP valuation to licensing, commercialization, and market deployment. Drawing from his experiences across biotech, pharma, and bioengineering sectors, he shared how IP strategy is integral to translating research into products that create real-world value.
The talk was enriched with practical tools, methodologies, and real-life case studies that illustrated how startups and researchers can leverage patents for competitive advantage. The session’s narrative emphasized that intellectual property, combined with the right ecosystem support, can bridge the gap between invention and prosperity.
