IIC (Institute Innovation Council) of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad conducted an online impact lecture on 11 June 2022 11 AM – 12 PM. The session had two lectures. First expert lecture was taken by Mr. Arjun Panchal, Founder Papa Zapata. He started the session with Value dimensions and nine blocks model of Business Model Canvas. Later, the session was proceeded with the detailed discussion on value proposition, cost-benefit analysis, key activities, key partners and resources. Revenue streams and costing structure was discussed with suitable examples of Parley, Instagram and google. The lecture was ended with interesting Q&A on business model canvas components.
Mr Satish Kumar, Assistant Director, MSME, Government of India was the guest speaker for the second lecture in the Impact lecture session. He delivered a lecture on “Overview of IPR and Patent Filing Procedure”. The lecture was highly informative and effective. In his lecture he highlighted the importance of patent filing, IPR, different forms of IPR. He started his discussion with various forms of Intellectual property, talked about different types of rights, such as trade secrets, publicity rights, copy rights, and rights against unfair competition. He encouraged students to come up with new ideas and file for patent. He put emphasis on knowing the nitty-gritty of patent filing procedure. He cited examples of AICTE schemes like kapil, arya. The talk was a very motivating experience for students.
A total of 104 students participated in the session. Ms Siya and Ms Riya introduced the expert speaker for the session. Both the lecture sessions were highly interactive. The lectures were followed by interesting Q&A and discussion. Dr. Sheetal and Dr. Devi Archana coordinated the session.
