Report on Role Play Activity: ‘Educating through Enacting’

Dramatics and Cultural club of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad organised a Role Play Activity: “Educating through Enacting” on Nov10, 2021 for the first-year students. The objective of this event was to unveil the diverse competencies of students and also to help them develop necessary skills to face the real-life corporate challenges. The event provided opportunities to students to think beyond the confines of the classroom setting and they understood the relevance of the content for handling real world situations. They engaged in higher order thinking and learnt the content in a deeper way. The event started with welcoming Mr. Vinod Malhotra, Senior Advisor, Seth Anand Ram Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutes, Prof (Dr.) Daveinder Narang, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Dean Academics, Dr. Sadananda Prusty, Dean Student Welfare, Dr. Ashwani Varshney and our dear alumna, Ms Khushi Saluja, Finance Associate, ACS Solutions, Noida. After the welcome address, the lamp lighting ceremony was done by all the dignitaries. Mr. Vinod Malhotra, Senior Advisor, Seth Anand Ram Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutes, motivated students with his kind words and encouraged them for learning from life experiences. He shared his life experiences with students and guided them for participating in such activities more and more. The rules and the themes for the role play activity were told to participating teams in advance, total five teams of 7 members participated in the event on the themes such as Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Corporate Social Responsibility, Work life Balance, Power & Politics and Talent Management. Our dear alumna, Ms. Khushi Sajula judged the participating teams on five criteria such as content, confidence, coordination, clarity and overall presentation. After the completion of all the acts, Ms. Khushi Saluja announced the results and winning teams for Ist, IInd and IIIrd positions were felicitated by her and the faculty members. The first position went to Aastha & team from section ‘C’ of (21-23) MBA batch, the second position was earned by Rimpa & team from section ‘C’ of (21-23) MBA batch and the third position was grabbed by Muskan Goel & team of MBA (Business Analytics, 21-23 batch). The faculty coordinators for the event were Dr. Rashmi Maini, Dr. Anubha and Dr. Saurabh and student coordinators were Ms. Shagun choubey (President, Cultural Club), Ms. Dhwani Garg (Vice President, Cultural Club) and Mr. Prateek Kaushik (Treasurer, Cultural Club) Overall, the event went very well and enjoyed thoroughly by all the students, guests and faculty members present at the event.
