An MDP on ‘Harnessing Emotional Intelligence Skills for organizational effectiveness’ was conducted on January 18, 2020, at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. The main aim of the MDP was to develop an appreciation of the origin of the concept of emotional intelligence and also to develop an understanding of the different facets of EI. It also focused on the benefits of being an emotionally intelligent person for personal and organizational effectiveness. The MDP helped the participants get their own emotional intelligence profile and explore their own emotional existence.
The participants were from different levels of management, there were directors, managers, assistant managers and executives from various organizations like Success Pact, Genpact, Grow More, etc. Resource person for the MDP was Dr. Rashmi Maini, Ph.D. (FMS, University of Delhi, Delhi), Assistant Professor at Jaipuria Institute of Management and Ms. Guneet Kaur, Assistant Professor at Jaipuria Institute of Management. It was a one-day hands-on experiential training program. It started at 10.00 am with an unfreezing exercise followed by various interactive sessions and finally, participants measured their Emotional Quotient with the help of a questionnaire. Individual feedback was given to all the participants. It was pragmatic and activity-based learning for all the participants. All the sessions went very well and the participants enjoyed thoroughly.
