Workshop on ‘Entrepreneurship and Behaviour Development’

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indirapuram conducted a workshop on 01 February 2023 for the Students of MBA first year. There were two sessions delivered by the external experts in this workshop. The first session was taken up by Ms. Pooja Kumar, Director and Founder of the Innove Intellects LLP on ‘Entrepreneurship and Behaviour Development’ in which she disseminated the information regarding the prerequisites to be a successful entrepreneur. She also provided the in-depth knowledge about the Intellectual property rights and clarifies various doubts of the students about Patent filing and Copyright registering process. The examples of various business entities and products are quoted by her to motivate the students towards creative thinking. She also highlighted the importance of innovation and idea creation for starting a journey as an entrepreneur successfully.

The second session of the workshop was taken over by Ms. Apoorva Thakur, Director of Lowgystix Foundation on ‘Simplifying IP Laws for Management Students & Colleges’. Being a Legal Advisor, she shared various real life cases to clear the concepts of copyright infringement, theft of Ideas and violation of rules in IPR matters. She also talked about five major myths related to copyrights, patents and trademarks. Both the sessions of the workshop were very fruitful for the students as well as for the faculty of the institute for shaping the ideas into prototypes and finally converting them into business ventures. The event was coordinated by Dr. Ashwani Varshney, Dean Student Welfare & President IIC-JIM, Dr. Raj Kumari and Dr. Devi Archana Mohanty under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Daviender Narang, Director of JIM.  Overall, the event was a success in achieving its purpose of creating an innovative environment and developing the entrepreneurial mindset among the students.
