Upholding Research Integrity: Day 2 of the FDP

The second day of the 5-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad was held on June 21, 2025, and focused on building awareness around ethical publishing practices and enhancing academic writing skills.

Led by Dr. Sumit Narula, Dean at Bennett University, the session explored the pressing issue of predatory, cloned, and fake journals. Dr. Narula offered practical strategies for identifying legitimate publication platforms by analyzing indexing status, editorial board credibility, and red flags in call-for-paper emails. Participants also learned to detect fraudulent impact factors—an area of growing concern in academia—by examining common manipulation tactics used to mislead researchers.
