On September 20, 2024, the Marketing Research Club of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, hosted the eagerly anticipated "Market Innovators Challenge." Held at the campus auditorium from 2 PM to 5 PM, this event attracted a vibrant group of students eager to showcase their marketing prowess and innovative thinking.
Objectives of the Challenge
The event was meticulously designed to provide MBA students with a dynamic platform to exhibit their problem-solving skills and develop robust marketing strategies for launching new products. Participants, grouped in teams, were tasked with the challenge of creating a comprehensive marketing plan, which included product prototyping, segment targeting, and the detailed crafting of a marketing mix (product, price, place, promotion, people, process, and physical evidence). This initiative not only honed their conceptual knowledge but also significantly enhanced their teamwork capabilities.
Experience and Learning
Throughout the three-hour event, 36 students (six teams) engaged deeply with practical marketing scenarios that allowed them to:
- Pinpoint target segments and discover market opportunities.
- Formulate and develop strategic marketing plans.
- Gain hands-on experience in product development and financial planning.
- Strengthen their presentation skills and team collaboration.
