The third day of the 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP), themed “Mastering Research Techniques & Academic Writing: From Qualitative Analysis to AI-Driven Insights,” was successfully held on June 22, 2025, at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad.
Led by Dr. Shubham Singhania from Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur, the day focused on reinforcing core research competencies through structured literature review and bibliometric analysis techniques.
The sessions began with a deep dive into the fundamentals of literature reviews, helping participants understand their critical role in shaping academic research. Participants learned to distinguish between narrative and systematic literature reviews (SLRs), and were guided through protocol development, database selection, and synthesis strategies for effective SLR execution.
In the second half of the day, attention shifted to bibliometric analysis—a powerful method to assess and map research influence across academic landscapes. A hands-on session using VOSviewer introduced faculty to tools for co-authorship mapping, citation analysis, and keyword clustering.
The day concluded with a guided exercise on how to begin drafting a research paper based on bibliometric insights, enabling participants to transform data into structured academic output.
Learning Outcomes:
- Developed understanding of different types of literature reviews.
- Gained skills in designing systematic literature review protocols.
- Introduced to bibliometric analysis for mapping research impact.
- Hands-on experience with VOSviewer for data visualization.
- Laid groundwork for drafting research papers using analytical insights.
