Report on Essay Competition on ‘National Energy Conservation Day’

Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indirapuram celebrated the ‘National Energy Conservation Day’ on 14 December 2022. This day is observed to instill awareness among people about global warming, climate change and promote ways to save energy resources. The essay competition was held at JIM campus in which 20 students from various specializations of MBA participated. The key objective of this event was to educate students about the consequences of energy deficiency. The day also aims to bring awareness to students about saving the energy through developing various habits like turning off the light when not in use and to promote he use of renewable resources nstead of non- renewable resources of energy. The event was organized by IIC members for all students under the able guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Daviender Narang, Director of JIM and Dr. Ashwani Varshney, Dean Student Welfare and President IIC-JIM. All the students and faculty members participated with full energy in this program. After the competition, the knowledge was also imparted about the significance of energy in our life and the ways for sustainable use of the energy resources with the necessary steps to be taken at individual level so that we can save our fossil fuels, Crude Oils and other precious energy resources. The essay writing competition was successfully coordinated by Dr. Raj Kumari and Ms. Surbhi Kansal.
