Promoting Sustainability on World Environment Day
On June 6, 2025, the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad organized a Plantation Drive to celebrate World Environment Day. The event took place at the lush grounds of the campus and was aimed at promoting environmental responsibility and sustainable living among students and faculty.
Objective: The initiative was designed to:
- Commemorate World Environment Day through active participation.
- Encourage students and faculty to take tangible steps toward environmental sustainability.
- Spread awareness on the role of afforestation in combating climate change and preserving biodiversity.
Event Highlights: The event commenced with an inspiring address by Prof. (Dr.) Daviender Narang, Director of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad. He emphasized the critical role that every individual plays in nurturing nature and protecting the environment.
Participants were then guided to designated plantation zones within the campus. A variety of native and eco-friendly saplings were planted, contributing to the enhancement of the green cover on campus.
With the enthusiastic involvement of 40 students and 15 faculty members, the drive became a meaningful and collaborative effort to promote green practices and ecological awareness.

- Participants gained a hands-on understanding of environmental stewardship.
- Reinforced the importance of tree plantation in sustainable development.
- Strengthened community values and collective responsibility toward a greener campus.
