Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad marked the beginning of its MBA Orientation 2025 with an inspiring address by its Director, Prof. (Dr.) Daviender Narang. The ceremony, held in the presence of distinguished guests from industry, faculty members, parents, and the incoming MBA batch of 2025–27, was not just a formal welcome but the commencement of a transformative two-year journey.
Setting the Tone for Transformation
Welcoming the Chief Guest, Mr. Kamal Bali, Managing Director & President, Volvo Group India, and Guests of Honour, Mr. Alvin David, India Campus Head, NuGen Software, and Ms. Madan, Senior Director L&D, NoBroker.com, Prof. Narang extended heartfelt gratitude for their presence and inspiring insights. He also acknowledged the continuous guidance of Mr. Shishir Jaipuria, Chairman, Seth Anandram Jaipuria Education Society, in shaping the institute’s growth and vision.
He emphasized that the orientation is not merely ceremonial but a launchpad for a life-changing journey, where students will be molded into leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs.
Evolution of Jaipuria’s MBA Program
Tracing the institute’s journey since 2001, Prof. Narang highlighted how the MBA program has evolved over the years—from general management to specialized programs in Business Analytics and Banking & Financial Services.
He stressed that Jaipuria’s focus is not limited to academic excellence but extends to ethics, values, leadership, and entrepreneurship, ensuring students become well-rounded professionals and responsible leaders.
Guiding Principles for the Batch of 2025–27: Prof. Narang urged students to embrace the next two years with curiosity, courage, and commitment, offering a set of guiding principles:
- Prioritize Well-Being: Balance academic rigor with self-care, sports, meditation, or creative pursuits.
- Compete With Yourself: Focus on personal growth rather than comparisons.
- Engage Actively: Participate wholeheartedly in academic and co-curricular activities to sharpen communication, leadership, and critical thinking.
- Network Effectively: Build genuine connections with peers, faculty, alumni, and industry leaders to create lifelong support systems.
- Learn from Faculty: Treat faculty as mentors and industry experts, actively seeking guidance and knowledge.
- Plan Meticulously: Set clear academic and personal goals, ensuring every day contributes to your growth.
- Embrace Innovation & Entrepreneurship: Explore beyond conventional career paths, experiment with new ideas, and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset.
Fostering Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Prof. Narang proudly shared the achievements of the institute’s Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), which has earned a four-star rating from the Ministry of Education for promoting entrepreneurship and innovation. He highlighted inspiring examples of students launching startups during their MBA journey, creating jobs and driving IT and business solutions.
This, he said, reflects Jaipuria’s commitment to nurturing job creators, not just job seekers.
A Vision for the Future
Closing his address with the thought-provoking words, “The best way to predict the future is to create it,” Prof. Narang reminded students that while the institute provides guidance, resources, and an enabling environment, it is their imagination, courage, and determination that will shape their future.
He wished the incoming MBA batch immense success, encouraging them to step forward with confidence, embrace challenges, and focus on shaping their legacy.
