Mercato 2017

Mercato – The Marketing Haat 2017, the 5th in a row, has been developed by the students of JIM, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. It is a have Marketing activity initiated and developed by the MBA students of JIM. Here the students had build up the notion of establishing their own counters or stalls with products and services of different categories. This activity motivates the students to build up their marketing and selling skills. It was an on the job training platform for the students. Students get a hang of all the Principles of Management from organizing , managing, vendor tie-ups, rating upon the cost of their products, etc. More than 50 stalls will be set up JIM students and also outsiders who will even sponsor Mercato 2017. Allahabad Bank, Mascot Group, KW Group, Faber Castle, FBB, Ginni Fillaments, FnS, HDFC Bank, Nestle, Lava Mobiles, Camlin, etc. may be among the sponsors. Diversified companies ranging from Real Estate to Banking Sector, FMCG, E-Commerce, etc. have been participating in Mercato 2015 prviously and are being ready as tapped by the students to participate in Mercato 2017. Dignatories from, various will grace the event with their presence providing their Best Wishes to the students and visiting all the stalls boosting up the confidence of the students. The event had many colours like Drawing Competition, Baby Show, Magic Show, Fashion Show, Live Band Competition and also with the exclusive performances made by our own students for singing, dancing, mimicry, etc. Various other institutes participate for the cultural show. Mercato in the previous year became much graceful with the live stage RAP of Mr. Indeep Bakshi. A crowd of around 1500 – 2000 footfalls were welcomed in this graceful live evening. This year some similar plans will be executed and a footfall of around 5000 people is being expected.
