The Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, through its Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized the Business Plan Competition on 29th November 2025 at the JIM FDP venue. The four-hour event provided a dynamic platform for students to transform innovative ideas into structured business plans while gaining valuable exposure to real-world entrepreneurial evaluation.
The primary objective of the competition was to nurture entrepreneurial thinking, encourage innovation, and enable students to understand the practical aspects of business planning and execution. The event invited students to present solutions aligned with contemporary market needs and demonstrate their ability to convert ideas into viable ventures.
A total of 20 teams, comprising 75 students, participated enthusiastically and presented their business plans before an attentive audience and an expert evaluation panel. The judging panel included Dr. Rubi Bhatia, Dean Academics, JIM, and Dr. Devi Archana Mohanty, faculty member at JIM. Each team was assessed on clearly defined parameters such as innovation, financial feasibility, market potential, clarity of financial projections, target customer identification, application of funds, and the overall viability of the proposed venture. Special emphasis was placed on the presentation of prototypes or Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), where applicable.
The competition offered participants a valuable learning experience by exposing them to constructive feedback, practical insights, and the expectations of real-world investors and evaluators. The diversity and originality of ideas reflected the strong entrepreneurial mindset fostered among JIM students.
Among the entries, the winning project “Relieve Medical Bed” stood out for its strong feasibility, innovative approach, and market relevance, earning high appreciation from the judges. In total, the top four business ideas were awarded and shortlisted for the Inter-Institutional Business Plan Competition, Mercatto, providing students with an opportunity to compete at a higher level.
With the active involvement of four faculty members and the dedicated coordination of Dr. Namita Nigam, Dr. Devi Archana Mohanty, and Dr. Smita Agarwal, the event reinforced Jaipuria Ghaziabad’s commitment to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and experiential learning. The Business Plan Competition reflected the institute’s vision of developing future-ready leaders equipped with creativity, strategic thinking, and execution skills.
