Empowering Students for a Greener Tomorrow
Environmental sustainability is a collective responsibility, and Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad is committed to fostering eco-conscious leadership among its students. As part of this initiative, the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) organized a Pollution Control Awareness Pledge on December 2, 2024, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Cell.
Objective: A Commitment to Environmental Responsibility
The event aimed to sensitize students about the importance of pollution control and encourage them to adopt sustainable practices. By taking this pledge, students reinforced their commitment to eco-friendly behaviors that contribute to a cleaner, healthier planet.
Key Highlights of the Activity
Held at the JIM Classrooms (First Floor), the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who pledged to:
Reduce, reuse, and recycle resources.
Avoid single-use plastics and adopt sustainable alternatives.
Use public transport, carpooling, and walking whenever possible.
Spread awareness about pollution control and encourage responsible environmental practices.
Support tree plantation drives and conserve natural resources.
Following the pledge, students engaged in an interactive session, sharing innovative ideas and practical solutions to mitigate pollution and enhance sustainability efforts.
Outcome: Building a Sustainable Mindset
The Pollution Control Awareness Pledge successfully instilled a sense of environmental responsibility among students. This initiative marks the beginning of a long-term commitment by Jaipuria Institute of Management to promote sustainability through awareness campaigns, green initiatives, and actionable environmental projects.
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) will continue to drive impactful programs, encouraging students to become environmental ambassadors who lead change in their communities.
