On a sunny Saturday, May 25th, 2024, the Jaipuria Institute of Management in Ghaziabad (JIM) hosted a dynamic and insightful workshop focused on the Business Model Canvas (BMC). The event, organized by Khushi, Govind, and Avaneet from the MBA BFS program, along with faculty coordinators Dr. Namita Nigam and CS Puja Shree Agarwal, brought together a diverse group of students eager to learn and refine their business model development skills.
The workshop, held from 12:10 PM to 1:10 PM, provided a comprehensive overview of the BMC framework, a visual and collaborative tool designed to help entrepreneurs and business teams create, deliver, and capture value more effectively. Participants from various MBA programs, including BA, BFS, Section A, and Section C, actively engaged in exercises that involved using the BMC to map out and evaluate different components of their business models.
The workshop's comprehensive agenda included an introduction to the nine building blocks of the Business Model Canvas, emphasizing its importance in developing robust business strategies. Group activities encouraged teamwork and collaborative problem-solving as participants worked together to create and present their unique business models. A valuable feedback session allowed faculty coordinators to provide constructive criticism and guidance, helping participants refine their ideas.
The workshop's highlight was the recognition of two outstanding teams: Akansha & Ayush Kumar Chauhan (MBA BFS) and Meghul (MBA BA). These winners showcased exceptional understanding and application of the BMC framework, presenting innovative and well-structured business models that earned them top honors.
