On day of Wednesday 1 Nov 2017 Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad organized a fledged tour for MBA 2017-2019 students because of which we are privileged to an exposure to manufacturing unit of India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. located in Surajpur, Uttar Pradesh on its full fledge. The tour started with a presentation by Ms. Parmeet Kaur, one of loyal staff of India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd who explained about the company, its Mission, Vision and also CSR activities such as plantation drive, road safety awareness in schools, scholarships, Yamaha family safety program for its staff, jobs & training for poor people nearby. Later the tour moved to production area under the good hands of Management staff where the students got to see huge plant, properly divided into sections such as unloading area, storage area, packaging area, welding block, paint shop, graphics section, robotics section the Various assembly and sub assembly lines producing various parts & bikes manufactured in the Surajpur plant. Models like R15 and fashion which are very popular among youth also manufacture. It was inspiring to see how quickly staff produced bikes and scooters so quickly on average rate of 3-4 min for each bike with efficiency and effectiveness & also how effectively floor space was utilized. We were also able to see how problems are solved within seconds under the proper supervision by team leaders. It came to our knowledge that the plant is able to produce, store or transport 6000 bikes of any model or any part to domestic & international market. Yamaha is now soon going to launch its new model which will be manufactured in Surajpur. It was indeed pleasure for all of us to interact with such a good cooperative Staff of India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. The loyal working staff guided & explained every stage of production and answered the queries of the students. Top of FormThe tour ended with a blanch provided by Yamaha followed by lovely gifts which was a surprise for all of us. We all are very thankful to Jaipuria Institute of Management who provide such a wonderful opportunity to visit the India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. This experience will never leave our hearts.
