Recognizing this, the Institutions' Innovation Council at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indirapuram, took a significant initiative to enlighten its budding entrepreneurs about the realms of Intellectual Property (IP) Management.
The insightful lecture, held on 20th April 2024, was spearheaded by Mrs. Parveen Arya, a seasoned advocate and co-founder of P2EXPERITUS. With a roomful of eager minds from the MBA program, the lecture delved into the strategic role of intellectual property in shaping startups' futures.
Mrs. Arya’s session was a deep dive into the world of IP rights, highlighting their importance as an asset and explaining how these can act as levers for competitive advantage, investment attraction, and market value enhancement. She meticulously covered various IP facets, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets, with a keen focus on patents as a driver of innovation.
The interactive segment of the lecture was particularly engaging, as students conversed directly with Mrs. Arya, inquiring about IP strategies pertinent to their business ideas. This not only helped clarify doubts but also demonstrated practical scenarios of IP application in business.
A turnout of 28 students from MBA (Dual) and BFSI specializations and the diligent coordination by Dr. Devi Archana Mohanty, Dr Namita Nigam, and CS Puja Shree Agarwal ensured the event’s success, marking another stride towards cultivating a culture of innovation and intellectual acumen at Jaipuria Institute of Management.
