In today’s fast-paced and demanding work environments, stress has become a silent productivity killer. To address this growing concern, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad conducted a Management Development Program (MDP) on “Stress Management for Working Professionals” on March 22, 2025 in virtual mode.
The MDP was led by esteemed faculty members Dr. Devi Archana Mohanty and Ms. Sarika Malhotra, and was attended by professionals from reputed organizations including Barclays and Samsung.
Objective of the Program: The core objective of the MDP was to help working professionals understand and manage stress through practical tools, techniques, and strategies, enhancing their overall well-being, resilience, and productivity.
With tight deadlines, high expectations, and the constant juggling of professional and personal responsibilities, stress has become inevitable. This program focused on helping participants:
- Identify stress triggers at the workplace
- Learn actionable coping strategies
- Enhance mental and physical resilience
- Build a sustainable approach to well-being
Structure & Content of the MDP: The program was formally inaugurated with a welcome address by Prof. Rashmi Bhatia (Dean Academics), who emphasized the relevance of such programs in today’s corporate landscape.
The MDP consisted of three engaging sessions, delivered through a blend of interactive discussions, case studies, group activities, and hands-on exercises. Key highlights included:
- Understanding Workplace Stress: Causes and impact on health and performance
- Stress Management Techniques: Breathing exercises, mental reframing, and mindfulness practices
- Building Emotional Resilience: Strategies to maintain calm and focus under pressure
By combining theoretical knowledge with experiential learning, the MDP enabled participants to apply stress-relief methods in real-world situations.
Feedback & Takeaways: The program received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants, who found the sessions engaging, insightful, and applicable to their day-to-day work lives. Many showed keen interest in upcoming MDPs, especially the one focused on Leadership Development.
All participants were informed that their MDP certificates would be issued within a week.
