Empowering Innovators through AI: IIC Hosts Gen AI Workshop

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad organized a two-day “Gen AI Workshop for Innovators and Entrepreneurs” on 19th and 21st November 2025 at the JIM GF06 Classroom. The workshop was coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Ashwani, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Tripathi, and Dr. Smita Agarwal, and saw enthusiastic participation from 55 students across disciplines.

The primary objective of the workshop was to introduce students and aspiring entrepreneurs to the rapidly evolving world of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI. Designed with a strong focus on hands-on learning, the sessions aimed to enhance participants’ skills in using AI tools for creativity, productivity, data analysis, and business decision-making.

Day 1: Building Foundations of AI

The first day focused on understanding the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and Large Language Models (LLMs). Participants explored Discriminative vs. Generative models and learned about Transformers—the technology powering modern AI applications. Hands-on practice included AI-assisted PowerPoint designing, where participants created presentations and visuals using Gen AI tools. The day concluded with an engaging session on Excel-based data analysis, helping students visualise and interpret data effectively through AI.

Day 2: Practical Applications and Innovation

The second day shifted toward practical, workplace-oriented applications of Generative AI. Participants were introduced to Prompt Engineering and Chain-of-Thought (CoT) frameworks to improve AI interaction quality. They explored Gen AI in Microsoft Teams for meeting preparation and productivity, followed by AI integration with Outlook for email drafting, summarising, and refinement. The workshop concluded with an introduction to Gen AI Studio, where participants experimented with building simple AI agents and explored its coaching capabilities.

Key Learning Outcomes
