As part of its continued push towards building an innovation-driven academic ecosystem, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad participated in the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) orientation session titled “Building YUKTI Innovation Repositories in IIC Institutions.” Held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the session was livestreamed via the official MIC YouTube channel and witnessed active engagement from faculty, IIC council members, and over 65 students from JIM Ghaziabad.
Objective of the Session: The key focus of the orientation was to:
- Raise awareness about building structured YUKTI Innovation Repositories in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
- Encourage participation in the YUKTI Innovation Challenge 2025 and AICTE Productisation Fellowship.
- Guide IIC institutions to transform grassroots ideas and student-led innovations into fundable and scalable startup opportunities.
Session Highlights: The live session empowered attendees with detailed guidance on how HEIs can:
- Develop a centralized database of innovations under the YUKTI platform.
- Convert on-campus innovations into prototypes, minimum viable products (MVPs), and startups.
- Access mentorship and government support via MIC and AICTE.
- Understand the roadmap to participate in national innovation challenges and funding schemes.
At Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, a group livestream session was conducted, after which students and faculty engaged in a fruitful discussion on how to effectively contribute to the repository and submit innovative ideas for upcoming competitions.
