The speaker for the fourth day of FDP was Dr. Ramani Swarna, who is an eminent personality in the field of research. The participants were given a brief introduction about qualitative research and how MAXQDA was framed as a research tool. MAXQDA is the only qualitative software that offers the facility of mixed method research. She introduced a coding framework with the help of MAXQDA that how codes can be written as text, highlighted with colors and emoticons can be used for the data analysis. Dr. Ramani taught how to code the above mentioned with the help of software and how to bring them all together and visualize it.
The speaker took a sample research paper explaining the coding of words, in the earlier session coding was done for paragraphs and sentences. Along with this interpretation of the summary grid, summary table and knowledge on how to browse code matrix and document map was imparted, this marked the end of the fourth day of FDP.
