Building Bridges, Building Teams A Creative Team-Building Activity at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad

At Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, learning extends beyond classrooms into experiential activities that shape leadership and collaboration skills. As part of the Orientation Program for MBA Batch 2025–27, a Team Building Activity was organized on 21st August 2025 at the institute campus.

Objective of the Activity

The primary aim was to instill teamwork, communication, creativity, and problem-solving among the students. By working together with limited resources, participants discovered the value of strategic thinking, collaboration, and recognizing each other’s strengths.

Activity Overview

Held at the Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad campus, students were divided into 16 teams, each with 7 members. Using simple items like old newspapers, disposable glasses, straws, tape, and glue, every team was tasked to design and build a bridge within 75 minutes. The bridges were then tested for strength, stability, and creativity, making the exercise both exciting and competitive.

Each team’s performance was assessed on:

  • Effective Use of Materials
  • Time Management

Key Outcomes and Learnings

  • Enhanced Communication: Students learned to listen, share, and collaborate effectively.

  • Innovation: Unconventional materials pushed students to think out-of-the-box.
  • Stronger Bonds: The activity fostered trust, cooperation, and leadership among peers.

Many participants shared that the activity was a “fun, refreshing, and engaging way to understand teamwork,” and expressed interest in having more such interactive sessions.

The Bridge Building Team Activity held on 21st August 2025 at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad was more than just a fun challenge; it was an opportunity for future managers to experience the power of collaboration, leadership, and innovation. Such experiential learning modules ensure that students are not only academically strong but also industry-ready leaders who can work seamlessly in dynamic environments.
