With an intent to enhance critical thinking skills of students, Jaipuria Institute of Management Ghaziabad organized Being Successful – Ted Talks on November 18, 2022. With the help of this session students were provided an overview by an expert Bill Gross, who in his video focused on reasons for success of start -up. Along with this the students imbibed learning from the great well-formed ideas delivered by the speaker. Bill Gross has founded a lot of start-ups, and incubated many others, he researched and gathered data from many companies, and ranked each company on five key factors. He found one factor that stands out from the others and leads to success of startups. During the scheduled time, there were 60 students, who were asked to ask the questions related to the video. The Ted Talks were coordinated by Ms. Surbhi Kansal, Member of IIC-JIM.
In addition to this a video by Gaur Gopal Das was also shown to the students which highlighted the secrets to remove negativity from your mind! The relevance of this video was to teach students on how to deal with daily pressures and stresses and what should they do to make the world a better place. The ten rules included don’t give in, learn how to respond, don’t lead the life of “I”, grow through life, focus on the good, live a balanced life, face your fears, don’t worry, choose how you live your life and tell great stories.
