“Fresher Party” is an event that every student eagerly awaits from the time of their admissions. The students of Jaipuria Institute of Management organized a Freshers’ Party “Aaghaz 2021” on 13 February 2021 to welcome Batch 2020-22. The objective of this celebration was to instill a feeling of belongingness amongst the new students and make them feel more connected with the Jaipuria family. Jovial smiles and high spirits marked the welcome party for the new students who were dressed up in ethnic wear gracing the occasion. The event began with the auspicious lamp lightening ceremony by the Director, Deans and, faculty of the institute.
The event kicked off with a Ganesh Vandana by Preeti Kashyap in high spirits. With the oscillating ambiance, foot-tapping music, and flashing lights, dressed at their best, the event continued with a variety of performances by the seniors and juniors. From the dance battle to a musical tribute to Late Sushant Singh Rajput, the excitement augmented to a joyful high as performances graced the stage. The surprise element of the Event was a Game organized by the students for the faculty members. The highlight of the day was the competition for the titles of Mr and Miss Fresher 2021. Students participated in the Ramp walk and were leaving fire on the ramp. Their talents left everyone awestruck as it set the mood of the party right.
As the event approached its end, the most awaited results were declared. Vyshakh and Sheen were titled as Mr. Fresher and Miss Fresher, Ishant and Sreshtha were titled as Mr and Miss Evening, Chandan and Yukti Saxena were titled as Mr. Handsome and Miss Diva by the judges on the basis of their performance in different rounds vying for the titles. Around 300 students were part of the party and lunch followed the program. Fresher’s praised the whole-hearted efforts of their seniors and the event winded up when the mercury began to rise and the dance floor was left open for some unbridled energy of all the students.
