On 16th April 2025, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad (JIM) hosted a hands-on Workshop on Business Model Canvas (BMC) under the banner of its Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC). The workshop, held at the JIM campus, saw enthusiastic participation from 45 students, with the session conducted by Dr. Namita Nigam, Associate Professor, JIM.
Objective of the Workshop: The core aim of the workshop was to help students structure, visualize, and evaluate business models effectively. It focused on equipping budding entrepreneurs with the right tools and frameworks to convert innovative ideas into sustainable ventures.
Workshop Highlights: Dr. Namita Nigam began by offering an in-depth explanation of the nine core components of the Business Model Canvas:

Students were then grouped into 8 teams and tasked with developing BMCs based on original startup ideas. Each group presented their models to a faculty panel, receiving constructive feedback and insights into real-world feasibility and improvement areas.
