Report on Day 1 of the 5-Day Faculty Development Program

From Idea to Publication: Paper Development Through AI Tools

15–19 June 2026

Day 1: 15 June 2026

The five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “From Idea to Publication: Paper Development Through AI Tools” commenced successfully on 15 June 2026 at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad. The FDP is designed to strengthen participants’ research capabilities through advanced methodologies, AI-powered research tools, and publication-oriented practices. The inaugural session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Davinder Narang, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, Dr. Shubham Singhania, FORE School of Management, New Delhi (Resource Person), the Dean, the FDP Convenor, faculty members of the institute and external participants. The inauguration formally marked the beginning of the five-day program aimed at guiding participants from research ideation to publication.

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from both internal and external attendees. A total of 53 participants attended the first day, including 37 external participants representing various academic institutions and organizations. The academic sessions were conducted by Dr. Shubham Singhania, who delivered insightful and highly interactive sessions on Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The sessions introduced participants to the fundamentals of SLR and its significance in developing a strong research foundation for quality academic publications.

The participants were guided through the various stages of conducting an SLR, including research problem identification, protocol development, database selection, literature search, screening, and synthesis. Particular emphasis was placed on conducting systematic searches in Scopus and Web of Science databases.

One of the key highlights of the day was the hands-on training on identifying appropriate keywords and developing effective search string. Participants gained practical exposure to designing search protocols, refining search queries, and selecting relevant literature for review. The sessions also focused on identifying suitable theoretical frameworks that can support and strengthen SLR studies.

The screening and filtering process was explained through practical examples, enabling participants to understand the importance of methodological rigor and transparency in conducting systematic literature reviews. Through interactive discussions and exercises, attendees learned how to transform a broad research idea into a focused and well-structured review framework.

The sessions were highly engaging and encouraged active participation, allowing attendees to clarify research-related queries and discuss their own research ideas. By the end of the day, participants had acquired a strong understanding of SLR fundamentals, keyword selection strategies, search protocol development, and framework identification techniques, establishing a solid base for the advanced sessions planned for the subsequent days of the FDP.

The first day concluded on a productive and enriching note, with participants expressing appreciation for the practical orientation of the sessions and the valuable insights shared by the resource person.
