The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad organized an expert session titled “My Story – Motivational Session by Successful Innovators” on 12 September 2026. Conducted in offline mode, the session brought around 48 MBA students together for an interactive discussion on entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence, innovation and the realities of building a startup.
The session featured Mr. Devesh Dubey, Founder & CEO of BeautifulPlanet.AI, who shared his professional and entrepreneurial journey with students. Drawing from over 17 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence, Analytics, Technology Consulting and Business Transformation, he offered practical perspectives on moving from an established corporate career to building an AI-driven entrepreneurial venture.
From Corporate Career to AI Entrepreneurship
A major focus of the session was Mr. Dubey’s transition from a successful corporate career to entrepreneurship.
He shared the story behind his decision to launch an AI-driven venture focused on sustainability and climate solutions, while discussing the challenges involved in building a business from the ground up.
Students gained insights into the uncertainties associated with entrepreneurship, including resource constraints, decision-making challenges and the responsibility of developing a new venture.
His experience enabled students to understand that an entrepreneurial journey involves not only identifying opportunities but also developing the mindset required to navigate uncertainty and change.
Resilience and Continuous Learning in Entrepreneurship
One of the key messages of the session was the importance of resilience, perseverance and continuous learning.
Mr. Dubey encouraged students to consider failures as opportunities to learn and improve rather than as endpoints. He highlighted how adaptability, perseverance and a clear vision helped him remain focused throughout his entrepreneurial journey.
The discussion provided students with a realistic perspective on entrepreneurship, where challenges and setbacks form an integral part of developing a sustainable venture.
Purpose-Driven Innovation and Artificial Intelligence
The session also explored the growing potential of Artificial Intelligence in solving real-world problems.
Drawing from his experience in AI and technology, Mr. Dubey discussed how technology can be combined with purpose-driven innovation to address practical challenges. His entrepreneurial work in sustainability and climate solutions provided students with a relevant example of how AI can be applied beyond conventional business functions.
The interaction encouraged students to think about innovation not simply as the creation of a new product or technology, but as the development of meaningful solutions to identifiable problems.
Interactive Conversations on Startups, AI and Careers
The expert session was highly interactive, with MBA students actively participating in discussions and asking questions about startups, Artificial Intelligence, entrepreneurship and career choices.
The interaction gave students an opportunity to connect entrepreneurial concepts with the experiences of an industry professional who had navigated both corporate and startup environments.
Students were encouraged to evaluate entrepreneurship as a viable career opportunity while understanding the preparation, mindset and resilience required to pursue it.
Brainstorming AI-Driven Business Ideas
To translate the discussion into an experiential activity, Mr. Dubey concluded the session with a creative brainstorming exercise.
Students were challenged to develop AI-driven business ideas capable of addressing real-world problems. The activity encouraged collaboration, creative thinking and practical application of Artificial Intelligence.
Students worked together to identify problems and conceptualize solutions, demonstrating how emerging technology could be applied to everyday challenges.
FinWise.AI Emerges as a Promising Student Idea
Among the concepts presented during the brainstorming exercise, FinWise.AI emerged as one of the most promising ideas.
Students conceptualized FinWise.AI as an AI-powered personal finance assistant designed especially for students. The proposed solution could support users in managing different aspects of their personal finances.
The concept included capabilities such as:
- Supporting financial decision-making
- Tracking income and expenses
- Creating and managing monthly budgets
- Analysing spending patterns
- Generating intelligent month-end financial summaries
- Providing recommendations for better money management
The discussion around FinWise.AI demonstrated how students could connect the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence with practical financial challenges faced in everyday life.
Developing an Innovation and Entrepreneurial Mindset
The session provided students with insights into both the opportunities and challenges involved in entrepreneurship.
By listening to a real entrepreneurial journey and participating in an AI-focused ideation exercise, students developed a deeper understanding of innovation, problem-solving and entrepreneurial thinking.
The activity also demonstrated the importance of moving from identifying a problem to conceptualizing a solution that addresses a specific user requirement.
Key Learning Outcomes
By the conclusion of the session, students had gained a clearer understanding of the realities associated with building an entrepreneurial venture and the importance of resilience, perseverance and continuous learning.
They also explored the expanding role of Artificial Intelligence in practical domains such as personal finance, sustainability and decision-making.
The collaborative brainstorming activity strengthened creative thinking and ideation skills while encouraging students to confidently explore innovative ideas and future entrepreneurial opportunities.
