INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE EVENT HIGHLIGHTS

Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad organized One Day International Conference on Industry 4.0: Global Transformational Changes in Business & Management on 15th February 2020.
The event witnessed the presence of Dr. V.K. Saraswat, Hon’ble Member of Niti Aayog as the Chief Guest who enlightened the attendees with his powerful thoughts. The event was also graced with the presence of Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow as the Guest of Honor. The event was inaugurated with the welcome speech of Prof.(Dr.) Daviender Narang, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. Shri Shishir Jaipuria, Chairman, Seth Anandram Jaipuria Education Society addressed the theme of the conference. The inaugural session ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Vinod Malhotra, Director Corporate Relations, Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions.
 

In his speech, Dr. V.K Saraswat stressed upon the rapid development of technology and the significant changes it has brought in the present times. He further emphasized the role of every individual in redefining the processes to create an organization that would not only be interconnected and autonomous but could communicate, analyze, and uses data for intelligent responses in the real world. Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak also highlighted the operational changes a company will witness in the era of Industry 4.0 and the way this entire ecosystem would function and interact. 

Shri Shishir Jaipuria in his address highlighted the way physical-digital-physical (PDP) loops enable a higher level of transparency to the organization and helps them to locate and respond to problems faster. Prof (Dr) Daviender Narang also discussed the major challenge of the lack of unified leadership that makes cross-unit coordination difficult within the company. After such enlightening thoughts, Mr. Vinod Malhotra extended a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and emphasized how Industry 4.0 can reduce the maintenance planning time and diminish total maintenance costs.
The event was then marked by releasing Souvenir and the Conference Book entitled “Industry 4.0: Global Transformational Changes in Business & Management”. After the guests’ felicitation, Prof. (Dr.) Daviender Narang, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, and Dr. Ashwani Varshney, Dean (Students Welfare) were awarded for their dedication and commitment to the “Long Service Award”.
 
The inaugural session was followed by the Technical Sessions with thought-provoking researches presented before the chairs of the sessions. More than 50 research papers were presented in the conference encouraging discourse across themes like Artificial Intelligence, digital competence, digital economy, future of banking, investments, and payments, economic policies for trade facilitation, E-commerce, Marketing analytics, talent sourcing, future HRM drivers, cloud computing, role of social media and many more. The conference hosted leading academicians from different B-schools and Universities of repute like Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Sandeep University, Sharda University, etc.
Building on the success of previous conferences, this conference also emerged as one of the most significant academic conference facilitating knowledge-building of the participants and drawing together different entities from across the globe to exchange and promote this new-age Industrial revolution. The event concluded on a positive note of creating synergy through continued communication.
