JIM IIC Organizes Poster Making Competition on National Energy Conservation Day

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad organized a Poster Making Competition on the occasion of National Energy Conservation Day, observed on 13th December 2025. Held at the MBA BFS FF-112 classroom, the three-hour activity aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of energy conservation, sustainability, and responsible environmental practices.

The primary objective of the competition was to encourage students to think creatively about saving energy and protecting the planet. By expressing ideas visually, participants reflected on everyday actions that contribute to sustainable development and responsible energy use. The activity promoted experiential learning by moving beyond traditional classroom discussions and engaging students in purposeful creativity.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 50 postgraduate students, who worked in a team-based format to design posters conveying strong messages on energy conservation and environmental responsibility. Through this collaborative exercise, students explored themes such as reducing energy consumption, adopting sustainable lifestyles, and understanding the collective role individuals play in safeguarding natural resources.

Celebrating National Energy Conservation Day through a creative platform helped students realise that sustainability is not limited to policies and regulations but begins with conscious individual choices. The event also fostered teamwork, active participation, and a sense of civic responsibility, reinforcing the idea that young professionals have an important role to play in shaping a sustainable future.

The posters were evaluated for creativity, clarity of message, visual impact, and relevance to the theme. At the conclusion of the event, two teams were declared winners. The First Prize was awarded to Amisha Kumari, Deepal Gupta, Shrey Pratham, and Trishla Chetan, while the Second Prize was secured by Anshika Basra, Kaashish Mishra, Prakhar Srivastava, and Sandeep Kumar Tiwari.

The event was guided by Ms. Sarika Malhotra and Ms. Smriti Dixit, Assistant Professors at JIM, with Ms. Sarika Malhotra serving as the Event Coordinator. The competition successfully combined creativity with social responsibility, reinforcing Jaipuria Ghaziabad’s commitment to sustainability, innovation, and holistic student development.
