On April 21, 2025, the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) and Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) at Jaipuria Institute of Management, Ghaziabad, jointly organized Day 1 of IP UTSAV in celebration of World Creativity and Innovation Day. The event was held in the JIM classrooms and marked the inauguration of IP UTSAV—a national platform dedicated to enhancing intellectual property (IP) literacy and public engagement among innovators and creators.
Objective
The event aimed to highlight the transformative power of creativity and innovation in driving economic, social, and cultural development. It also sought to raise awareness about the intellectual property system as a crucial tool in promoting and protecting creative endeavors, while formally launching IP UTSAV as a platform to inspire nationwide participation.

- Dr. Sacha Wunsch-Vincent, Head of the Economics and Statistics Division at WIPO and Co-editor of the Global Innovation Index, offered a global perspective on innovation-driven growth, knowledge transfer, and the critical importance of IP in a dynamic global economy.
- Prof. (Dr.) Unnat P. Pandit, Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trademarks, DPIIT, Government of India, shed light on India's evolving IP framework. He highlighted strategic policy initiatives aimed at strengthening the IP ecosystem, fostering entrepreneurship, and empowering creators and innovators with reliable protection tools.
Their insights sparked engaging discussions on how innovation and creativity contribute not only to economic advancement but also to societal enrichment, making IP awareness more important than ever.
