A three day National Conference organized by APJ Abdul Kalam Technical university on Universal Human Values in Higher Education Theme: AKTU as a Living Model for a Sustainable Humane Society was attended by Prof. Daviender Narang and Dr Nidhi Mathur from 18-20 July 2019.
The theme of the conference was based on the need and how to develop a value based education system in higher education. The chief guest for the conference was Prof. MP Poonia, Vice Chairman AICTE, and the key note speaker was Mr. Rajeev Kumar, Advisor I AICTE. The conference sessions included addresses of Directors and Deans of various institutions across the country.
Director JIM participated in Technical session II in which a Panel discussion was conducted on “Purpose of education and content of education” and expressed his views on incorporating value education in management education and its scope for sustainable employment. He further emphasized on the need of trained faculty for inculcating values in the students.
The director also addressed on the last day of the conference as special invitee regarding his commitments and initiatives for creating JIM as a value and ethics based education model.
The three day conference was an effort to help develop further momentum for human, value-based education in India.
